Thanks for that record - there are two farmers named William LAMB of the right age on the 1881 Census, but Ulleskelf and Arthington are just a little too far from Hunslet for comfort. Also, I've checked several Leeds area directories, but they only list William LAMB, farmers, in Rawdon and Horsforth, which are northwest of Leeds, whereas Hunslet is southeast. I'm hoping that the 1851 or 1861 Censuses might reveal one closer to Hunslet. Can anyone look him up?
