I am particularly interested in the marriage of George Yeeles to Mary Ishmead in 1772.  I am also looking for the marriage of George Yeeles and Katherine who baptised several children between 1798 and 1812 in Marshfield.

I am also interested in Isaac Isaac born 1811 Marshfield.  I too have him married to Hannah Cooper 1836 Marshfield but mine is also from the IGI and another researcher - any other information would be appreciated.  His father was another Isaac Isaac from Badminton.

I have a number of families in Badminton that I am interested in.

Thank you for your kind offer of help.  It is much appreciated.

 ???,

OK, I'll have a look to see what I can find for the marriages you mention.

By the way, the 1811 Isaac Isaac was baptized in Badminton not Marshfield.

Have a look at my Badminton transcription, you'll find more Isaacs and perhaps your other interests baptized/married/buried.

Regards

Chas

To all who asked for Marshfield info..

I had a look through some of the Marshfield marriage records today and found the answer to:-
I am particularly interested in the marriage of George Yeeles to Mary Ishmead in 1772.

Snipped

Transcription:-

"Banns of  marriage between George Yeels Batchelor of this Parish and Mary Ishmead Spinster of this Parish were published September 27  Oct'r ye fourth & October ye eleventh & were married in this ----------- by Banns this twenty fourth Day of October in the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and ????? Two by me "Sam'l Michell"  Vicar"

"This Marriage was solemnized between Us (George Yeeles  {signed}
                                                          (Mary Ishmead her Mark  X"

"In the presence of ???  Dyer;  Rob't Cox."  The latter name is on other records so likely to be a church official perhaps (Churchwarden, clerk etc.)

I will continue searching next week.

Regards

Chas

Hello Chas,
Could you kindly confirm a marriage of a John Shipton to an Ann Smith 16/04/1780? Are there any other Shipton marriages around this date or burials? Thank you for looking.

To all who asked for Marshfield look-ups.

I've spent some more time searching the Marshfield film and have the following replies:-

Hello Chas,
Could you kindly confirm a marriage of a John Shipton to an Ann Smith 16/04/1780?

There is no such marriage in the records nor in the IGI.  The first marriage in 1780 is of a John Fido to Hannah Davis on 17th May.

Hi ChasH

I have an Isaac Isaac who was born in Marshfield in 1811.Not sure if he married or was buried in Marshfield. He married in 1836 and died in 1883.I did find the information on the IGI but it was a submitted entry. Can you just check for me please. Isaac Isaac I have marrying a Hannah Cooper which I know is right as I found my G Grandfather living with Isaac and Hannah Isaac in the 1851 census.

  Johngirl.

I checked very carefully between 1788 and 1798 but found no Yeeles marriages - sorry.

The Isaac Isaac X Hannah Cooper marriage is a submitted entry in the IGI but it is NOT given in the Marshfield records.  The marriage is NOT given in the GFHS CD of GLS baptisms 1800 to 1837.
Added later - Whoops!  CD of marriages :D

Hello Chas,

Looking for any infomation on the Liles/Lile/Lisles family of Marshfield, especially an William's born 1780-1800.

Any information welcomed, thanks very much for this offer. :)

Matt

A Susannah Liles married John Hall by Banns on 11 Nov 1812 - neither signed but made their X.  The witnesses were Hannah Davis and Rob't Cox.   The GFHS CD spells the bride's name Susanna and of course, it gives no witnesses.

Regards

Chas
