Hi Krystal, sorry I took so long to reply. I have info to swap. I recently came across Jennie's Bible. It was given to her by "Maude and Edward". I believe these were Her husband Arthur Morrissey's sister and brother-in-law. (Not too confusing). There is a quote which Jennie wrote followed by the comment "My dear Mother's last words  October 7th 1923."  These would be the last words of Mary Ellen Tufts Argyle. If you're interested let me know. You can email me and I will send you a scan of the page .
Happy hunting!
Pam

Just an update on Thomas Argyle.  I got ahold of his death cert which has his mother's last name as Corbett which confirms that the above Thomas Argyle & Louisa Corbett are his parents. Yeah!  Also, his birthdate is Feb 3 1838 & christened Dec 25 1838. I also found that father Thomas Argyle's father was Samuel Argyle and Louisa's father was Edward Corbett.
Take care & Happy Searching,
Kristal

Hi C-prime. I just saw your messages and I thank you very much for sharing your links. I am just looking at them right now and excited to compare notes. if you have any questions on names and/or dates let me know as I have a fairly large family tree going. My husbands descends from Ira & Louisa, their son Milton Donald Fisher who married Marie Snider. Would love to keep in contact. I will send you a private message with my email. Take care and keep up the good work :)

Hi Anel~Eyes, I believe the Joseph that came to Utah is the son of Samuel Argyle and brother of Thomas Argyle who married Louisa Corbett since he was born around 1817 whereas Joseph, son of Thomas, was born 1855. Great article and thanks for sharing. It looks like it has pics of Joseph and his two sons from what I have seen so far. Take care and Happy Searching

EEEE its funny this researching ... When I first saw your post way back when.. I hoped there would be a link with your Thomas Argyle and mine.  However there didn't seem to be.

NOW on researching another branch of my family.  I find that my Joseph Hunter a gt. gt. Uncle by marriage... ACTUALLY helped to build the Lighthouse, he was a sailmaker and he was on the Topaz'e' when its crew was commissioned to build said lighthouse....

uhhm  just as a by the way!
