Hi there. I am looking for Thomas ARGYLE's parents. He was born between 1837-1839 in Birmingham. He grew up and became a Royal Enigineer (Sapper). Afterwards he setteled on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada and became a lighthouse keeper at Race Rocks. He married Mary Ellen TUFTS between 1863-1867. Thomas died March 14 1919 in Victoria, BC. They had 10 kids. I have possible parents being Thomas ARGYLE and Louisa CORBETT. I would love to know if I am on the right track and any extra info would be great as he is my husbands great grandfather. Happy Searching

I can't find them in 1861 but I think Thomas snr died 1870 in Birmingham per freebmd

Dear Kristal,
Thomas and Mary Ellen (Tufts) Argyle were my 2x GR Grandparents. I am descended from "Jenny" (aka) Jane. I do have a little info about these 2 but am a little skeptical about some of the historical info. Let me know if you (or anyone else) is interested.

Thomas Argyle  is my 3x gt grandad but not the same one as you have... I just love the name.. there may be a link somewhere
