Amber,

You say your father  and his  mother "is", so I take it are still alive?  If your father was born in the last 54 years, then we won't be able to help you to who his fathers parents were, as these details are not available.

Maybe trying the white pages, and getting in touch that way.

Cheers

....in case it helps ...the 'National Library of NZ' (Auckland) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (on-line) ...they will check their many records including electoral rolls (past & present) and newspaper death notices. ...Valerie (WAus)

Ambly, didn't think you were.  I only suggested the white pages, as maybe contacting the Wymers you might find your link, not get in touch with your father.

Do you have the marriage certificate of Winifred, as this will have the names of her husbands parents then we can go from there.

Cheers

If anybody requires information on the Fransham family of Norfolk, I may be able to help! Elizabeth Ann Fransham's parents were Daniel Fransham (1815-1888) and Sarah Harding (1818-1883). The were married in 1837 and produced thirteen children in all.

I have details of the children (siblings of Elizabeth Ann) and indeed some of their offspring.

Daniel Fransham's father was Jeremiah Fransham (1788-1866), my great x4 Grandfather.
Fransham, Harris, Marshall, Robertson, Kelly, Baron, Overfield, Porter, Burrows

Hi there,

James Francis Wymer was my mother's Dad (my grand father). I have just been reading this whole thread, and can possibly throw quite a bit of light on some of the questions you are having.
One thing : James never went back to Yarmouth (at least not at that stage). His father was considering going back, but instead they moved from Avondale out to the farm called "Sylvia Park" (I have a picture here of the old house they moved to). [Sylvia Park is now the name of a leage shopping centre in Auckland, and I think it sits where the farm was - see http://www.sylviapark.org/centre-information ]

Drop me a line. My mother knows much more that I do - I can put you in contact.
Kind regards, Bruce. Rotorua. New Zealand.

James francis (Parent Isaac) attended Avondale School 3 Feb 1903 and left 21 June 1904 for Yarmouth.  At the time living at Rosebank Rd, his birth date is recorded as 16 December 1896.

There appears to be a Divorce File at Archives

Cheers

Hi Bruce,

Welcome to Rootschat.   Been a while since this file was active, so had to refresh my memory. In Reply # 62 it was suggested that "Yarmouth" should actually read as "Weymouth".

Yarmouth is obviously an transcription area when the records were being transcribed.

What a lovely homestead.

Cheers
