Hi all, I can tell you all about the Fransham families in NZ. They come mainly from around the Halvergate area in Norfolk and Elizabeth Ann was the 10th child of 12of parents Daniel & Sarah Fransham. Tunstall, Norfolk of whom 4 came to NZ, of which my g/grandfather Benjamin was the youngest.  Elizabeth Ann m. Isacc Wymer 11th Nov.1879. Moulten Norfolk and altogether had 14 children. All the families settled in the Albertland district of northland, now known as Rodney.Three of the families then bought small farms in Avondale. Auckland, around the 1890's
and from there 2 went south, Ben to Whitford and Elizabeth, Manurewa. The brother John died at Avondale 01/08/1916 the same year as Elizabeth.Their elder sister Eliza was married to Edward Browne (another halvergate family)He died as Chairman of the Rodney county in 1892 and that family of 12 is another story.
Ben had 13 children(14 altogether) I can name all the children of the families if required.  Cheers Marky42

Hi longorgan & Marky42 :)

Welcome to Rootschat.     I am not a member of this family, just a volunteer helping with information.

Interesred in Margaret Isabel Tyrrell and when she came to new Zealand and where she landed.

Longorgan, I can only suggest at the moment,  purchasing the death certificate, as this will tell you how long she was in NZ.    Reply #17 states the death date.

Hopefully, Magicnanny and Fantasmoo have had notification of this thread, and will reply.

Cheers
KHP

Hi everyone thanks for the fast reply, this is not the same Winifred as she married into the Wymer's, All i know is that her husband was a police officer and one of there sons was as well. Her husband died and my father was sent to Dilworth which is a bording school in Auckland for boys with no father.

Thanks Amber ;)

Hi Amber,

Welcome to Rootschat.   Yes you are right, not many Wymers around.

Been a while since this thread was active, so have not had a good look back..    Have you read the whole thread?    Winifred is listed as one of the children in Reply # 16.    The marriage year and the death years are there.

I did offer to go to the cemetery and look for headstones for the ones in Pukekohe.

Cheers
