Can anyone help me to identify where this photograph was taken? I'm afraid there isn't much to go on, but the following might help.
This family lived in Brown's Road, Stratford Essex. The approx. date is 1920's (the young girl bottom left was born in 1915) I think it was taken in a park - it looks like a pavillion of some kind. It definitely isn't their house, they lived in a very modest terrace. I am assuming that it was within a short distance of where they lived - there were 8 in the family, and money was short, so they made the most of the amenities close by.
The nearest that I can place to that area is West Ham Park or possibly Victoria Park. Frustratingly, there is a virtual tour of West Ham Park, but it won't work for me. I suspect the building in the photo has long gone. I have also tried googling for old photos, postcards etc. but no luck.
Thank you very much
