Only births I can see ... Greater London, plus specific Middx & Surrey

are you meaning that you think he was in Addlestone in 1901, but may have been born elsewhere?

Hello curmudgeon.

Thanks for your message.

We saw Francis on the 1901 census we thought Francis was born in Addlestone.

You could be right , we just took it for granted , born elswhere.

Very sorry.

I couldnt see a Fra* Kent in the Addlestone area in 1901 census - can you add any more details of what you saw and I'd be happy to flesh out from the original page.

ADDED:-
Ah, maybe its an Ancestry site problem, as I see him on the 'official' 1901 census as being in the Chertsey area, born Addlestone  .... dont have the funds to drill deeper, so I'll try and find out why he's not showing up in Ancestry search engine...

actually, its moot if the 'official' 1901 census you quoted has it wrong, or the Ancestry entry (which has mum Harriett shown as Harriet SKeet in their index, altho I think the image looks like Harriet S Kent !)

However, looking at the 1891 census, I think Ancestry was right, as the family show up as Skeats (and another anomaly is that Francis is shown as age 3 or perhaps 5 ....)

Let me know if you wish to pursue it?
