Sorry I can't find trace of Milroys in the Galston area. I notice there is an Alexander Milroy married to a
Margaret Henderson
in Stoneykirk, Wigtown and their son, Robert was born in 1812, you didn't mention where your Robert was born.
Ayrshire:- Wilson, Donald, Pearson, Milligan, Wallace
Surrey:- Langford, Mullard, O'Neill
Special interest:- Loudoun parish

Robert seems to have spent his life in the Dundonald area but I don't see any record of his parents in Loudoun parish. A wide search of Milroys born 5 years either side of 1814 on FREECEN only shows Robert born in Loudoun parish. I don't see any sign of a death record for his parents in the Loudoun OPR burials.
