I am hoping somebody has access to parish records for Ashby -
I am looking for birth of JOHN JAMES MONTGOMERY c 1827/28
and the marriage of his parents, JOSEPH MONTGOMERY and ELIZABETH (possibly TOON)

Hi Jane, Loughborough library is closed for about another month  :'(

For all concerned regarding closure of Loughborough Library for repairs, etc.  If you Google Coalville Library (probably the same result if you Google Leicestershire CC), it tells you the list of parish registers held at each of the Leicestershire Libraries - Coalville have AdlZ.   ;D  Bad news is, it will be closed 26 October - 1 November.  :'(

Plus no Montgomery events found within Ashby de la Zouch 1827~8
or the surrounding villages within Ashby de la Zouch District

Thanks for trying Mike...the cheeky boy must have put false details in the wedding register. He was a lot older than his bride, so maybe he had something to hide..Jane
