Puerto Rico
« on: Tuesday 20 October 09 17:32 BST (UK) »
I am searching desperately for the family of Candida Cruz Alonso who was born in Puerto Rico in 1919 and died in New York in 1855.  She had three girls (*).  Her partner was (*)Le Carpentier, a merchant seaman.  Need to find ancestors and family of Candida to be able to tie all together.  It would have been probably San Juan they lived in.  It appears they departed USA in 1957 and moved to Richmond Surrey, England where they were all placed in boarding school.

If any one out there knows how I can research in Puerto Rico or Dominican Republic I would be grateful for any guidance.   Thank you so much in advance.

Lynn Thompson

thank you so much for your reply re Candida.  If I take the first one which seems likely presumably I can then go back to the parents and backwards from there.   Is there a particular sitre to go on where you have managed to find them, please.

Thank you

Lynn

Hello Gordon. Am a very good friend of Ann Payne who is trying to trace Candida's relatives/  We were hoping to find living relatives in New York or whever that Susannah her grand daughter could look on as relatives.  Anything you can help with would be much appreciated.

Regards

Lynn
