Crouch Hall Road, Crouch End, London

Good morning, 

I've just searched the 1911 Census & got '2 for the price of 1' as I found 2 family members listed at 75-77-79 Crouch Hall Road, Crouch End, London. 

It appears to be a store of some sort with 20 shop assistants listed along with 2 cashiers, 7 clerks, 6 domestic servants & 1 housekeeper (all female).   Or perhaps it was some sort of boarding establishment for young working ladies. 

My 'satiable curiousity has gotten the better of me, so does anyone know what this establishment was,  or where I could look to find out?

that must be just round the corner from me - never heard of Crouch Hall Road-  there should be some old Kelly's Directories online which predate the phone book and which usually tell you what is going on for most addresses.  Good luck!

The Suburban part of Kelly's 1902 Directory shows Wilson Jas. Hendy at 75, 77 and 79 Crouch Hall Road (south side).

Can't currently see any business for the address in the 1902 Trade Directory (unfortunately not searchable).
