Hi there - I went to the old St John's Graveyard (now in the Columba Club car park) today - it is in an extremely sorry state and very few readable or standing stones remain. Even since last winter, the graveyard has deteriorated terribly.
I hope no one minds but before they are disappear, I will jot down over the next couple of weeks what's still there - but many of the stones are worn away so apologies if the dates aren't 100%. If anyone recognises a mistake, please feel free to update my scribbles.
RIDDELL
The stone is still standing - at the back of the graveyard towards the wall, facing towards the Columba Club building. Worn and unreadable in parts.
