Hi There,

I finally got Agnes Baker death printout from BDM Victoria by downloading it and it says that James was alive but his age was not known. He would have been 62 when his mother Agnes died.  I have a feeling his parents may not show for his death. Have tried to search NSW and Queensland but no luck. Not able to search Victoria. I am at a loss as I have no idea if he was married or where he lived. Have found nothing in NZ so assume he stayed in Australia.

Any suggestions please would be great

Thanks

Think I have found Cecilia(Ceceiia TUCKER nee WOOD) death in Western Australia
Died 1906 Registration District Subiaco Reg No. 109. I think her husband Richard died 1904

Looking online at the Western Australia BDM site no parents are named

Is there a way to find out where she may have been living in 1903 and 1906

Cheers

This, her death notice, will at least confirm she is the right woman or not, if that is a help.

This is a SA death notice for the above woman's husband, Richard

Hi There,

Yes it is the right woman but have not found a son by the name of John for her. I wonder if he is a step son. Have not found Richard's death  in WA so not sure where he died. Death notice confirms death on 25/11/1900

Richard and Cecilia married in 1873 Victoria.

Thanks for Richard's one as I could not find it.  So does this mean they both died in SA and not WA. I am slightly confused on this

Have found a funeral notice for Cecelia TUCKER nee WOOD and it says she is buried at Karrakatta Cemetery. Her son John is buried with her. He died on 20/10/1939 aged 75 so born abt 1864

Richard's funeral notice says he is buried in Payneham Cemetery. Have not looked online yet for the cemetery

Thanks Kris.  Now have John TUCKER's death notice. He was married to a lady named Louise. They had 3 children Stan, Anster and Leith.  Stan was living in Victoria and the other 2 were in Brisbane.

Will go look at your link for the headstone Kris

there is no birth for John (or any births to this couple in SA.

There is teaching record for Cecilia TUCKER (sewing Teacher Mannamarie)

http://www.unisanet.unisa.edu.au/research/condon/teachers/Teachers.asp?TeacherID=9042

and an extensive teaching record for John from training college in1883 - resignation in 1901. He was teaching at Mannanarie in 1886 also, and Mylor as mentioned in Richards death notice)

Cheers Kris   :)
