Any one with good eyes 3
« on: Wednesday 14 October 09 22:54 BST (UK) »
Hi I’ve received some photo copies of marriage certs from Dublin (time’s are hard) and for the life of me I just can’t read some of the words I have others but I will listed them separately at avoid confusion!
This is the wed cert for Thomas O’Connor & Mary Farrell in 1896

Can any one tell me what Frances address is it looks like Rail Road can’t find a road in Dublin named Rail Road?

Is John O’Connor’s occupation silver smith if so where do you think he would of worked?

Mary’s dad’s occupation looks like Poulter to me so I looked on the 1911 census and fount a Thomas Farrell living at 8 Georges Hill (same road as Mary was living in 1896 she lived at number 10) his occupation was Poulteres looked like him his wife was Mary and his daughter was Mary Ann well they properly wouldn’t have two daughter’s named Mary is it possible that the daughter on the 1911 census was named Anne Mary or am I clutching at straws?

Any help would be great thanks

Hi, not sure if this will be of any use but here goes,
the address looks like 1 Earl road. problem is there
seems to be only Earl street in Dublin ,if this is the
right one then its likely to be Earl street north as
the marriage took place on the north side of Dublin.

Farrell's listed in George's Hill in 1904  :

 2 Mr. James Farrell
 12 Thomas, Farrell, poultry dealer
 13 Mrs. Farrell, poultry dealer

No Farrell's on the street in 1884

p.s. I think the groom's address could read 1 East Road which is between Sherrif st and East Wall Rd ... compare the last letter against the 't' with the missing cross-bar in silver smith or poulterer (father's occupations)
