Marriage Stephen Reed to Esther. Whaplode

I am trying to find the marriage of Stephen Reed to Esther.  I have found them on the 1881 census living at Whaplode St Mary with their family.  I have tried BMD with no success.  I assume they married circa 1873 as their oldest daughter Martha Jane is 8 on this census and they would both have been 17.  Many thanks for your help.

I see from the 1881 that both Martha and the next child were born Northwold, Norfolk (as was Stephen) so maybe the marriage was in that area.

I wonder if the age in 1881 is correct, or if Stephen should have been 35?

That is the only Esther I can see bn Whaplode

but I still cant spot a marriage!

yes please I would like the details of Esther.  I believe the Stephen you mentioned is the father of the Stephen  I am looking at.  They both occur on the census of 1871 together.  Thanks for the help though

Oh I have just noticed that he lost ten years!!!  Back to the drawing board on my Stephen then.  Would still like the information on Esther thanks

Son's birth cert would give her maiden name

Stephen (son of Stephen and Martha) was aged 1 in 1851 ... but there may be another one lurking somewhere-

The second one seems to have been born in Thetford, son of John and Mary Ann, aged 7 in 1861.

yes please I would like the details of Esther. 

Here is the full info for that Esther I found - though we dont know yet if it is the right one.
As Geoff suggested a birth cert for one of Stephen and Esther's children would give thier mums maiden name,and thus confirm one way or other.

wife's pob looks like UK (as in United Kingdom) but that seems a strange thing to put, so I do wonder if it is meant to be NK (as in Not Known)
