Liverpool Workhouse burials

Did the workhouse in Liverpool on Brownlow Hill have its own burial grounds or if anyone died there, did they get buried elsewhere?
Any help most welcome.
Many thanks,
Ian.

Several of my own ancestors died in the infirmary in that workhouse and were buried either in Anfield or Kirkdale cemetaries
I'm not aware of it having it's own cemetary but this article may shed some light on that aspect for you

I have some in Toxteth Cemetery.....I suppose it depended on space at the time...as you know 12 to 14 people were buried in the same grave in the space of a week ...so if there was a grave opened in Toxteth on 2nd Oct 1877 and you happened to die 5th October ..you went in that grave.....I presume the same for Anfield / Kirkdale etc.....try

they may have an answer...allan
Hiya Ian...I`ve just had a quick look through that site and I didn`t know there was a cemetery in LOW HILL from 1825 to 1912...this is definitely very close to Brownlow Hill Workhouse...there`s 30 volumes evidently recorded....allan

thanks for that - not sure!
Fanny's husband Robert died in 1864 and was buried (poor grave?) in Toxteth Park.
His parents were John and Elizabeth but nothing yet to confirm when they died.
I'll make a note of it.
best wishes,
Ian.
