I am actually a relation of yrs lol..
I am connected through Norman Mackinnon's wife Margaret Renwick Nelson sister Elizabeth Nelson born 1842 she Married Joseph Harper in India in 1856.. the Nelson family was in India for some time.. am not sure what they did there at this stage but Elizabeth was only 14yrs old when she got married.
I am researching the Nelson and Harper side of the family.
My Great Grandfather Hines Retchford was with Norman MacKinnon when he died from TB in Adelaide.
