Hi
I live in NSW Australia and was actually born in Inverell NSW, as I am researching a large number of my family from the area, on a visit to Inverell years ago I purchased 3 Cemetery books, 2 for Inverell -and 1 for the smaller cemeteries.....I looked up the 1914 death and will gladly list the burials in Elsmore Cemetery, a small village (near Inverell).

Jack Garnett died 30oct1954 - 49 yrs    note - Garnett not Garrett
Louisa Garrett died 18jan1928 - 55 yrs
Frank Garrett died 20feb1899 - 4 yrs
G   Garrett     no details
George Garrett (Miner) died 31jul1914 - 53 yrs

and at Inverell Cemetery -
William Thomas Garrett    died 28apr1996 - 77 yrs of 41 Granville St, Inv - (WW2 RAAF 135428
Leading Aircraftman)   husband of Gladys - father of Carol, Geoff, Kevin, Bruce & Debbie

Hope this is of some help.    Megsy

Hi Susan,
The Jack, Louisa, Frank, G and George are buried in the small township of Elsmore (just out of Inverell) The other one William Thomas was buried in Inverell Cemetery.  I could find more details on Elsmore if you would like it.
(I guess could have just been a spelling error).
I am related to Rolfe family from Inverell, but I think there were more than one family of them, (not related to each other)
My Rolfe’s in brief are:
Elizabeth   WHITBY  BORN:  14th November, 1857 -  Armidale NSW.  DIED/BURIED:    19/9/1939 -82 yrs - Inverell NSW
MARRIED:  19th August, 1874 – Inv District
TO WHOM:    James ROLFE (B.8/9/1846 at Downham, Norfolk, ENG – Died 24/1/1936 – 89 yrs – buried Inverell Cem) (Have not sorted his parents details as yet)
CHILDREN:
1.  James               ROLFE  1874 - Inverell NSW
2.  George Joseph ROLFE   Born 1876  Inverell - Married Annie C.    HUTTON
3.  Vernon Joseph ROLFE Born  June,1882 -  Inverell NSW  - DIED: 17/8/1955 -73 yrs – Inverell  MARRIED:  1913 at Inverell
        Eva/Edna May(Olive)HUNT
4   Emily E (Emmy) ROLFE  MARRIED:  1900 at Inverell   TO   John D. (Jack) RANKIN  (Lived at Toowoomba QLD in 1939)

Anything here look promising?   I can give more details if needed….also could list the Rolfe’s burials from my books if you would like them……….Or if you can help with the parents of James (born 1846)……..   Megsy

Yes I have George & Louisa's Marriage Certificate NSW BDM Rego # 1889/005330.
no mention of Birthplace, nor parents names for either the of them - I contacted the United Church Archives (married as Presbyterian) and they advised that they have no records and I could contact the NSW state Archives ( yet to do this)  - BDM has a Thomas and Mary Garnet (1 xT ) married within 5 years - also investigating possible link with my George.

NSW BDM SEARCH RESULTS
You searched marriages for the Groom's last name Garnet in the years 1800 to 1900
1 - 2 of 2 matches found

Just to through panic into confusion altogether. There are a number of births to a Webb and Louisa Garrett including two unamed males?
Between 1854 and 1865? It does have an unamed male B 1861.

Dont ask me why they didn't name the males. But I dont think any were born Parramatta, but I wouldn't put too much credence on that birthplace.
