Hi,
22 May 1864 Hugh Maxwell married Catherine Skelly in Larne R.C. Church. It is likely that Hugh's father was Arthur and Catherine's was Richard.

Hi Markey354

I dont think larne fire station would hold very old records but you could look here at the Fire service Historical Society.  The details are a bit old but if you write to the address in Lisburn you might get some information.  http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bill.broadhurst/firehistory.htm

'Fireman' may refer not just to what we think of as a firefighter but as a stoker on a ship, man working at furnace (such as in a factory), etc.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
