i am looking for any information on a robert phillips he was a leatherdresser and married my great grandmother in 1918 he was a bachchlor age 58 my grandmothers name was helena smith they lived in alexio street bermondseyher maiden name was miller any information would be great i cannot find his death.

Do you have him on censuses? I can see Robert Phillips Single 39 Leather Dresser born Bermondsey living Bermondsey with widowed mother Elizabeth and brother James in 1901 - happy to post details if you need them.

Does he give father's name on his marriage cert? In 1881 father is William a Cellarman.
