Now, there is an Edward Peoples , mothers maiden named DORAN, died in Lanarkshire in 1978, birth year 1900. Methinks it could well be yours

But you won't be able to acess the cert online, as its after the cut-off date. I don't see any other deaths before 1958 with mothers maiden name of Doran.
You should be able to get some of the marriages of the children in the census, just by searching the indexes by individual names e.g. ''Edward''. I would download them all in the right time frames and see from there , which would be the most likely.
If ever stuck, remember the alternative name of Peobles.
