Ivanhoe House, Rotherham
« on: Friday 02 October 09 22:14 BST (UK) »
Can anyone tell me what Ivanhoe House, Station Road, Rotherham, South Yorkshire is.   Is it an Hotel.   On a death certificate  dated 1980 this is given as the persons usual address although this person died in Birmingham, England.

I don't believe it was a hotel. The Ivanhoe novels were set in Conisborough nearby, and it is not uncommon for houses and streets in the area of Doncaster and Rotherham to be named for the novel and characters in it.
