Thank you for your reply. When you say that the disc you have shows no more info than I had already (from the IGI) do you mean only in this case? Or do other records sometimes show parishes, occupations of the grooms, or other snippets? I've thought of buying these discs but unless they show more than the IGI it hardly seems worth it.
One thing your disc did reveal though, was that James Gibbs died in 1784 - and I didn't know that - I'd assumed he'd lived his normal span. His widow Ann would've been left with the children to raise on her own, and so I wondered if she'd married again - the IGI shows an Ann Gibbs marrying a William Landon at St Andrews in 1789. Would you mind checking your disc again to see by any chance whether the said Ann was described as a widow?
