Could somebody help me to workout my pop Frederick waldie, i don't know where he came from, mum said she thinks Scotland, he ended up in Australia and was with Ethel Morley (they didn't marry) Thankyou, this most appreciated. Helen-darleen

by the 1936 Electoral Roll

Frederick Waldie 4 Lt. Buckingham Street, Richmond  occupation Rigger
Ethel Waldie same address home duties

probably his death

WALDIE  Frederick died in 1957 at Park aged 72 reg no 2388
father Frederick mother Bridge Dorgan


 WALDIE  Ethel died in 1970 aged 71 at Park reg no 14891
parents unknown

Yes that was an address. I have a death cert. born 18 june 1884, cook st, glasgow. fater fredrick railway guard, mother bridgert waldie (dorgan). BUT someone has said that this is not him. perhaps they are wrong. He was said to have been 72 when died. If this is him, then what happened from there to here? Thank you for all help. helen-darleen

Can you tell us from  the death certificate where he is buried?

Did you get Ethe's death certificate as well?

Where was he living when he died?

Have not got a Birth cert. for ethel or death cert for both. Ethel born 3.11.1898, died 1.7.1970. Melb.Victoria. Their last address was 4 Henty st, Richmond, Victoria, Australia. They are buried together at  BOX HILL cemetery, Box Hill, Vic. Aust.

Well surely if they are buried together in Box Hill, then the death certificate you have is for the right Frederick Waldie, does it list his children's names and are they correct

ethel had stacks of kids, some given away to other family and some to welfare, i have only found that  the last 2 kids ( Mum one of them) are under his name, (SHOCK TO FAMILY ...I have to laugh). They would not go out together even going and sitting seperatly at church. Mum said they acted as stangers in public.  But thankyou as I know where he came from and his parents.
