Hi Sealbh

Thanks for your info.   Should you find any other McNairn info whilst doing your research,  would you kindly pass it on to me.
My McNairns moved to Knowe Farm from Barskeoch (I think).  They're proving to be a bigger bunch than I thought  ::)

Thanks
Alison

Hi Sealbh.

Maybe this is too early, my relatives were also resident at Barskeoch Farm, I have a recorded birth for 1754 of  a Samuel McNarine, father William McNarine mother Agnes Chesney.

===================

Your Samuel McNairn is my 4xgreat-grandfather's brother!  John McNairn was my 4xgg.  I wonder how WE are related????

Hi Cheryl

The Samuel McNairn I mentioned would also be my 4 x great grandfathers brother! The Brother I'm related to is Alexander born 1739 married Agnes McKie, their son William born 1780 married Mary Thomson, their son Samuel born 1830 married Isabella Wallace married Mary McNairn married Janet/Jean McNairn!! (lively character) the last wifes daughter is my grandmother.

I hope I haven't confused you, I certainly have myself.  Good to hear finally from someone who is connected all be it somewhat tenuously (probably)    Who are you related to down this big long line?

Regards
Alison
