Do you remember the old lady who sold carrier bags outside Woolworths and the old Market Hall during WW11?
Does anyone know what her name was?

Hi, I don't know her name but she was still there into the 1950's. I believe she was partially sighted and she lived just off Lombard St. in Darwin St. area. She used to walk to work and I would see here pass my home in Moseley St. John.

John,
Thank you for your reply.
I was told that she was my grandmother's sister, but I cannot find any connection.

Sheila, I suggest you contact Professor Carl Chinn, the birmingham historian ,through his website.
He once interviewed the daughter of the 'Andy carrier lady' on his Radio show.

I have already contacted Carl Chinn. He was not able to help me. Can you remember when he did the interview? It may have been after I contacted him.
Thank you
Sheila
