??? On my grandfathers birth certificate dated 1875, my great grandfather's occupation is "brafs finisher" he lived in Vauxhall Walk, Lambeth, London. Is there any information on what a "brafs finisher" would do.  ???
 many thanks,

It's a brass finisher - the first s is what they call a long s and extends below the line, making it look like 'f'  ;)

Hi
My Great Grandfathers name was Henry William Green, married to Martha Raynor  and they lived at
no. 105 Vauxhall Walk, Lambeth.   Maybe there was a factory local that they worked in at that trade.
