The picture is obviously of the 42 mile camp. Now I would guess that it would most likely be on a journey either from Perth to Albany or Albany to Perth.
I would personally go for the latter because travellers from perth to albany usually made their first stop just across the Swan river at what is now Victoria park (this was so that they could dry out thier belongings after the river crossing). The second stop was usually at what is now Armadale some 30km 20 mile south. the third night although about the correct distance would have been in heavy jarrah forrest whereas the picture appears to be in medium scrub.
