Looking for information on John Bishop who was hanged in 1831 at the Old Bailey with Thomas Williams.  Looking for a date and place of his birth.  Any help appreciated.

Hi

As the trial took place at the Old Bailey John Bishop will have been held at Newgate prison pre and post trial. The National Archives hold the Newgate prison registers (there is nothing online for this prison's records). In the prison register will be a brief description of John Bishop which also usually includes a birthplace.

see The National Archives research guide
