Hello,
I have just discovered RootsChat and hope to find out more about James Scroggins b1785c, wife Mary Barnes b1788c and their children, from Yoxford Suffolk.  Have details of of the childrens' births: Henry 1806, Mary 1808, Sarah 1811, James 1812, Emma 1813, Susannah 1815, James 1817, George 1820, Lucy 1822, Jane 1825, Lewis 1827, Lydia Ann 12 Dec 1830.  Lydia married James Rugg in 1854 Isleworth, left for Australia in 1866 with her 8 year old son James Frederick Rugg (but no husband.) He was born at Blything  16 March 1857. No idea what happened to his father- cannot find a death.

Any Census look-ups for the rest of the family would be appreciated.  Young James Frederick Rugg attended Yoxford Public School.

You are still doing genealogy I am keen to make contact about your James Rugg who married Lydia Scoggins / Scroggins.

I am keen to discuss whether there are any links with my Ggg grandfather James Rugg (d. 1918, New Zealand).  My James Rugg came to NZ in 1861 as Chief Steward in the ship Minerva.
