Hi Jon

Thanks for the reply. Two of Job Goldfinch ( born 1823 at Hoath, family emigrated to Corry Pennsylvanie) daughters married Browns, Hester b 1869 married Giles, Nancy b 1872 married Andrew, but they all have connections to the USA. Strange that your great grandfather should choose such an unusual surname.

Happy hunting

I'm researching Attwood name to find descendants of Gilbert Attwood. He married Doris Vera Heath about 1916 in dartford, Kent. She was from Swanscombe. Any connection ?
Heath, Moody, Attwood, King, Baker, Haysman, in Dartford or Chatham Kent
Heath, Moody in Marylebone and Paddington, London
O'Keefe or Keefe in Plaistow

Hi!
I am incredibly late to this thread, but I am descended from the Hales' family that were primarily in Hartlip/Stockbury in Kent. I have researched this side extensively, and have visited Hartlip Church to see various marriage records over the years!
And on the other side of my family, I am descended from a man named Thomas Hicks (1863 - 1920), whose son Thomas Frederick Hicks (1885 - 1970) married Rose Annie Cheeseman (1887 - 1961). The Hicks family were from Chatham, Kent, but Rose's parents William Cheeseman (1865 - ) and Clara Annie Tickner (1867 - 1947) were both from Maidstone, which is the parish that Boxley is in.
