help with Inglis in Canada

I am trying to find details of my grandfather James Thomas Inglis who was born 1918 in Scotland and emigrated to canada in the 1950-60's, I have been told that he died in the 1970's.
Can anyone help me to find his death records please?
without his death I am unable to recover his military papers.  I would also love to find anyone who maybe related.

You don't say which part of Canada.

There is a James Inglis in the British Columbia death records, but it is hard to know from the details if this is the correct person.

Could you please indicate which war records you are talking about. Do you have any idea where he came to in Canada?

The more information you can provide the easier it will be to track him down.

He  served in WW2 and I am told that after went to Canada where he may have served with the mounty's but there is no one alive to tell me if the rumer was true or not.
I know that he had an uncle on his mothers side that settled in Toronto and his family still live there, I have managed to find a relative out there but he doesn't know of our side of the family.
So yet again I am stuck
