marriage of Maurice Williams

I'm looking for details of a marriage between Maurice Williams born about 1850 in Bristol to Ellen (don't know surname) born in Liverpool also 1850. I have found a possible marriage but I don't know Ellen's surname.

The marriage I have found is Maurice Williams marrying an Ellen Cullen in Bristol September 1869 Volume 6a pg 178. Can this be checked and see if their ages are the same and more importantly that Ellen is from Liverpool. I have checked Lancashire BMD and there is no marriage between the two so it looks like they have married in Maurice's home town of Bristol.

The 1871 census might prove to be useful for either Bristol or Liverpool. But according to 1881 census they had a son called James and he was born in Bristol about 1875 so they might still be in Bristol for 1871.

The record of the marriage will not say where Ellen is 'from', only where she was living at time of marriage.

Did they have children? You would be best getting a birth cert of one of the children to find out Ellen's maiden name, to ensure you look for the correct marriage.
