I too am interested in Jeremiah Buckland, and particularly his son Thomas James Buckland (b 1851). I contacted Southwark library a couple of years ago, but unfortunately couldn't turn up any photos of the Hen and Chickens pub on Alvey Street (absolutely nothing 19thC extant there now). His wife, Ann Andrews, was born in Syderstone, Norfolk (note correct spelling). I have been to both this village and to Burnham, Bucks - both lovely! You seem to have found plausible info on Jeremiah's parents, which is fascinating to see.
