Oh you a gem, hope you can findthem.

I have John Cockroft born Halifax,but could be Ovenden 1776. He died sometime between 1841 and 1851. He is not ont he 1861 census so assume he died then. His wife
Sally born around the same time.
Joseph Cockroft , born 1815 his son and joseph's wife
Betty born 1820.
Would be grateful if you can find them.

Got to thinking !you know' (Painful! bats in yond church bellfry) as one does'! where be the nearest churchyard to yond Hal farm! ;D

Anyway first! I found the original 1951 & 1956  Hal farm in the WYAS archives and its Lower Hal farm from the garages survey map! copy right would not let me copy. Barrack farm and Hal farm are as one!

Epitaph Mi.

"Ann wife of John Cockroft of Overden died 1800  aged 24 years
John son of the above John Cockroft died 20 May 1826 age 17 years

Grace Cockroft of the above John died  1840 aged 28 years

Above John Cockroft died 7 Oct 1850 age 76 years
Sarah relick (Widow) of John Cockroft died 30th march 1852 age 74 years
