leggat and johnston
« on: Thursday 03 September 09 16:06 BST (UK) »
hi folks
were looking for info on Archibald Jo0hnston from cambusnethan we think he went to Ireland c 1852 onwards and was married to Agnes Leggat from Cumbusnethan we found heron the 1851 census but her whole family disappears from then on.
The Johnston's appear to have gone to Ireland for some reason we've got their granddaughter returningto Scotland in 1913 having been born in Ballyclare
anybody any ideas why the might have gone the all appear to be miners
and where did the Leggats go
your help is much appreciated
Tommy

Strange time to be moving to Ireland in the aftermath of The Great Hunger.

Who were the family members on the 1851 census?
