in the 1851 census their address was Toll Gate Broughton

Do you know whether they were already married by 1841 census ?

There is one Joseph Richardson apparently living with mother and siblings (difficult to tell with no relationships shown  )

no i don't know if they were married or not
i am waiting on getting a birth certificate of one of their sons William born  1860 so i can get Elizabeth's maiden name and then i can get Joseph and Elizabeth's marriage certificate. so i was just wondering if the were married in 1841. i may have to wait to get the certificates. but thank you for your help.

Well, in 1851 their eldest child was 3, so it seems unlikely that they were married in 1841
