Help please
I have a robert Barrow aged 2 months on the 1901 census living /lodging at egerton buildings, barrow in furness RG13 Piece 4016 folio 67 page 25 parents are robert barrow and amy barrow ne dover.
in the 1911 census i have the family again at 50a main street, cleator , carnforth. on this census it shows 3 children
george sidney hall barrow aged 10 born barrow in furness
lillah (which should read zillah)  aged 8 born whitehaven
robert barrow aged 5 born whitehaven
when i look closer at the 1911 census where it asks how many children born and how many surviving it states 3 so what has happened to the robert barrow on the 1901 census ??? i cannot find a death registered or anything like that.
please help if you can
thanks

Hi
Is there a birth registration in 1901 for Robert?   I assume there is one for George.   As they are boarders in the household I wonder if the person giving the information simply got the baby's name wrong?  If all other details match in the 1911 then that seems one explanation as there is no time to have another child who is aged 10 by then.

Births Mar 1901
BARROW    George Sidney H         Barrow F.    8e   833

Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

thank you andrea and geoff. my train of thought had been that the child in 1901 was robert and he had died  and then some time later had another child and re-named that one robert, i see the birthf or  george sidney hall barrow in 1901. i am wondering though where this name came from as it is unusual - any ideas ??
thanks

I believe this may have been Mrs BARROW

Births Mar 1877
DOVER    Amy Frances        Kendal    10b   744

The 1881 census shows her mother's name to have been Zillah ....
