Hi,  does anyone know where the parish records would be kept for around 1700? The area is KIRK HAMMERTON...........thanks

some sort of (local) archives centre perhaps - try Google search ?

I think it's now part of North Yorkshire and that the parish records will be held at North Yorkshire Record Office in Northallerton.

According to Phillimores, the parish records for Kirk Hammerton start in 1714

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.
