Benjamin Tyrrell death look up please
« on: Tuesday 01 September 09 14:22 BST (UK) »
I don't know if anyone can help me with this one as i'm not 100% sure where my Great x 5 Grandfather died. Benjamin Tyrrell born 1739 in Kidlington Oxfordshire, married 1764 King's Sutton, Northants to Mary Masters born Bicester Oxfordshire. They had 7 children that i know of born Aynho Northants, the last child born 1780 being my Great x 4 Grandfather John. John moved to Brighton sometime before 1851 as he is on the census there at that time. I have no idea where Benjamin and Mary went from Aynho and whether they died there or moved elsewhere in Northants or maybe even Oxfordshire as the borders were very close.
Any help tracing where they died would be a wonderful help. Benjamin Tyrrell isn't so common a name as John so i am hopeful that someone maybe able to shed some light onto this.
Many thanks
Julie

Hi Sandy,

That possibly could be Benjamin's wife as the date of birth i have for her is sketchy. I don't think there were any other Tyrrells in Aynho at the time unless my information is wrong. That means that they may have continued living in the village after the children were born. I know they had a son called Rice or Price who was born 1778 and died 1794 in Aynho so knew they were still there then.
Thanks for that. I don't suppose there are any other Tyrrell deaths in Aynho. John had other siblings; Benjamin, Thomas, Henry, Elizabeth and Mary?

Hi again Julie.

There was also a William aged 79 buried 15 Oct 1820.

I suppose Mary could have been his wife.

I can not see any others.

Actually Benjamin had a brother called William born 1742 also in Kidlington which would make him about 78/79 in 1820. I wonder if they both moved in to Northants? Food for thought!
