Hi Ricky
Actually personally I wouldn't want my own birth registration details published on the internet in such a public forum as Rootschat.
For anyone over the age of 50 their birth registration details are all that is needed to obtain that person's birth certificate - no other information is necessary.
Once posts begin with information supplied on potential living people more posters add further information they find. Nell is quite correct to post
'I have sent you a PM as some of this information is getting too close to the present day'Rootschat policy is very clear
Please do not post requests asking for help to find (possibly) living relatives or friends.
RootsChat is a forum for searching for ancestors. Anything posted on the internet is in the public domain where anybody can see this information. To protect people and their identities we do not encourage the posting of information about people who are or maybe still living.
Please see
Searching for living relatives and Rootschat
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,142443.0.htmlPlease send the information you have found through the pm system. The poster will then be able to clarify whether it is for the correct people or not.
Regards
Valda
