Assuming it's the 1901 or 1911 census you're referring to, then perhaps you can help with my grandmother Catherine Mahony. She was born in December 1888 in Nenagh Co.Tipperary - address look like Spout Road on her birth certificate.

I've found her on the England census in April 1911 in England and she then lived and died in England.  In 1911, she was living with her married sister Mary Ann (known as Minnie) O'Mara (formerly Mahony) who was born in Lisboney (?) Nenagh in August 1885 (I have her birth certificate).   Her husband was James O'Mara who, according to 1911 census, was born in Nenagh about 1886.

I can't find her (or her sister) in England on 1891 or 1901 census and don't know when she moved to England.  I am keen to know if she, her sister or parents were on 1901 census in Ireland. 

Her father was David Mahony, shown as deceased in 1911 on Catherine's marriage certificate but I don't know when he died.  Her mother was Mary Barrett who married David Mahony in 1884 in Catholic Chapel in Nenagh.

I would be very grateful for any information you can find.

I have my GGrandfather born in Roscrea c1850 - He was Augustine Ansboro, his father was Martin Ansboro...Augustine went to live in India about 1870ish,this is all the info i have on him from his army records.

Brilliant, thanks Pete, I found the grandfather and Great grandparents within minutes. The Irish 1911 census is also much better than the English ones with far more details particularly about the houses they lived in.

Hi Ann Marie, if the offer is still open, can you find any information about my grandfather John Maher who was born Thurles 1878 Tipperary.
He had a sister Johanna Maher born 1874 Thurles.
His mother was Johanna Maher nee Connell.
I believe this is her christening record.

Father John Connell Mother Catherine Curran ( IGI )
The father of John Maher was also same name John Maher.
John SNR was a Quarryman.
I was told after John SNR died ( both his children were very young His Widow Johanna had to leave Ireland because she could not support her children.
She came to Liverpool and was mentioned on 1881 census.
Therefore John Snr may have died 1878-1881.
Can you find any information relating to this family please.

hi, i am trying to trace a James Maher who was married to Mary Butler.  I have a list of their family from around 1864 .  I know that one of their sons Edmund moved to Scotland around 1913-1914 but cannot trace any more information on the Irish side.  Trying to find out what happened to Mary and James.

Hey Ann Marie,

if the offer's still going I have one or two things I'm looking for in Tipp

Firstly, I'm looking for a marriage between a Thomas Treacy and Ann Waters. I have no date of birth for either. The first child of theirs I could find was James in 1864 so I presume they would of married within a few years of that date. On that baptism cert, the address is down as Cooraclevin, Dunkerrin? But I think later on they were based around Ballingarry.

If you could find a birth cert for Thomas or Ann that would be amazing too.

Secondly, I'm looking for a birth cert for Timothy Killackey around 1846. His father should be a Daniel or Donal Killackey (as far as I'm aware). They would have lived close to Cloughjordan and surrounding areas. I've heard some of the family even stretched to Shinrone (practically in Offaly)
