Ashcroft Family help needed
« on: Sunday 30 August 09 18:53 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone,

I am absolutely stuck,

My family i believe had links with the the Brierley Hill area. I believe my 2 x great grandad is John Ashcroft b. 1862, Gloucestershire. He married Sarah Whittaker in 1886 at St Michael's Brierley Hill. Sarah was born in 1868 Brierley Hill.
I have found Sarah with her parents in the census records but i cannot find any more on John.
On family search i did a marriage seach for John and Sarah and it came up also with thier fathers names Sarah's father was called Daniel Whittaker who i have found in records and John's father was called Samuel Ashcroft.
I am really stuck with the Ashcroft side of the tree i can find John in 1891 and 1901 but no where else can anybody help me please.
Many thanks Lauz.
Worcestershire - Cook(e), Moule, Carter and Wright.

Hiya Lauz

I've got the feeling I heard someone mention that there are quite a few of the Gloucestershire census missing including the 1871
