Santy will indeed be arriving early!

Apparently there have been some issues with the level of accuracy of transcription on the most recent releases. These issues have now been resolved and the returns for Cork, Donegal, Wexford, Kings (Offaly) and Galway will be online by 22 May.

The rest of the 1911 will be released in two tranches by end of summer and the NAI are still hopeful that all of 1901's returns will hit our screens by the time Santy's hitching up the reindeer for his main outing of the year.

That is good news.

I wonder why the NAI doesn't actually put this information out on the 'Whats New' page?

 ;D ;D ;D

I just knew if I booked a trip to Ireland that they would be on the website quicker!

Off on Tuesday so will still be able to see the census at the NA before May 22nd.

great news - thanks for the update

better that they get the transcriptions and index accurate, rather than releasing a possibly flawed version.

and best of all - it's free access

Yes this is great news.

What a great year for Irish research with the family search BMD index online and now more and more census counties going on-line.

A far cry from even a few years ago when any Irish Genealogy information freely available was hard to find.

there's been an update to the 'future plans' page, in line with the post Rose made earlier.

..the data for Antrim, Kerry and Down has been reviewed..
and data for  Cork, Donegal, Wexford, Galway and King’s County (Offaly) will be placed online in the week beginning 25 May...
