Well done Tony for e-mailing! Even though you did not get the news we all wanted to hear!
I think your right, with all the people on here waiting patiently for the census, we could probably get it done quicker as a team effort!!!

Hello Christopher, what I think their reply means is that they do not have a clue.  If they have no "better information" than me about an Autumn 2007 release date, how can they then "imagine it will be early 2008 at this point"?

It's beyond me.  TonyR.

Hi LibbyW, perhaps if we all emailed, then they might pull their proverbial digit out - it couldn't make them any slower could it or could it? :'(  TonyR.

I just had another look at the link and I think the person you emailed is related to the press and not necessarily the right person to email, maybe we need to contact the 'main' guy!
John O'Donoghue, T.D., Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism as stated in the article?

I have sent an email to somewhere else, can't remember  sorry but I will let you know if I get a response!!

Do you have the email address of John O'Donoghue? If as you say we all email him maybe something may get through to those in the know.

Click here for the email address of John O'Donoghue, T.D. I doubt that an email to him will make a difference.

hi all, maybe they're afraid that when we can access it online they won't get as many personal callers to the archives etc,its a comment I've got from some people who work in these places i.e."we'll be out of a job if everything goes online"
also the minister mentioned in the press release is not in that ministry anymore, must check the government website to check who is.

Hi LibbyW, I sent the same people an e-mail this morning, no reply yet.  Perhaps our two emails might prompt them into action - then again perhaps not.

taid, did he get the sack for not delivering what he promised, oops sorry he's a politician, how silly of me.  Regards, TonyR.
