I recommend you join the free tier first where you will be able to see what resources are available for look ups etc  from tier 2

Thanks -  I already did that but there's very little to see in the free part.  All the queries refer back to the parts I can't see and otherwise all I see is lots of chat.  As suggested here I probably won't bther and will stick to Rootschat and Talking Scot, at least for now until I run into a brick wall

I also saw the link to the Scotfamtree website and wondered if anyone had any experience of this?  It's £10 to join
