I recognize the name on the convict list snowden dunhill, he was a great uncle many times removed. What info do you have for him a scan of a pic would be great.

There is also a page on his wife in the book and mention of a autobiography by Snowden in her page, but not in his ::) Strange.

It would not surprise me if the author of the book got a lot of his info from that one. :-\

                Is William Brown previously known as William Clark mentioned.
He was transported 31 Jul 1845 on Stratheden and received a pardon before arriving I believe in Victoria.

Just to clarify (so many posts it makes my head scramble!! ;D - sorry!) - are these convicts ALL transported to Tassie?

I have a Michael O'Brien who disappeared into the ether shortly after his arrival in Australia in 1823 but he came to NSW.  Would love to think that there could be some link with the one mentioned in your book.

Absolutely anything to make this man reappear would be fantastic!!
