Hi,
Not sure if your still searching? I have been looking for my family from Foulness, Great Wakering.
There is also a St Mary the Virgin on Foulness Island just east of Wakering. I am off there at the weekend to take pictures of gravestones etc. Also Yesterday whilst I was at the Libary (Southend) I found all the baptisims from 1800 to 1926.
Drop me an email if you would like some help etc.
Good morning,
Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I am still looking. Microfilms of the parish registers covering shoeburyness & Prittlewell are unavailable to me.
If you can do a look up at St Andrews on your next visit that would be great.
The most likely period is between 1882 - 1887 in respect of St Andrew at Shoebury. After that the family moved to Prittlewell.
The parents of the children are Joseph & Catherine Ann VAUN but there are many variants of this surname including Vann.
If you need any further information in addition to that already supplied in my earlier message please contact me and I'll try to answer them.
If you are unable to help me. No problem.
Thanks again for your reply.
regards
