im trying to find out who william loveless parents are? as i dont know when he was born I'm struggling! also trying to find his wife's parents her name is Eliza Jane shiner i think she was born in 1846 but again I'm not sure. i know they had a son called William t loveless but thats all i got! i went on free bmd but didn't no where to start looking can any one help

Hi,

A copy of William and Eliza's marriage certificate should give the name and occupation of his father;  using that information you could search for him in the census,  which should show him with his parents.

The name and occupation of Eliza's father should also be on the certificate.

Looks like you have a choice of 2 possible birth refs:

Jun 1841   Loveless  William     Dorchester  8 55

By getting the marriage cert that nanny jan gave you the ref for you will be able to confirm which birth cert you need
